Villas Elementary School PTA  would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students, parents, teachers, and staff. This year’s PTA board is gearing up for a spectacular 2009-20010 school year—so get ready and get involved!

Start by joining the Villas Elementary School PTA. Membership costs $6.00 per person.  A portion of this fee goes directly to the Florida PTA and National PTA. National and Florida PTA supply us with information and resources that help us contribute to our goal of improving the well-being and education of our children. The remaining fees go directly to Villas PTA to implement our school goals.

Stay connected. The PTA sends home a monthly newsletter that is chock full of PTA information. Newsletters announce upcoming events, call for volunteers, and highlights topics of interest.

Plan to attend monthly meetings. Board meetings are typically scheduled on the first Thursday of each month at 1:00pm and last approximately one hour and everyone is welcome to attend. We also schedule evening meetings at 6:00pm prior to each School Advisory Committee (SAC) meetings. Meeting dates and times are posted in the school calendar, Monday Notes, and PTA newsletters.

Get involved. Parental involvement is a gift any parent or guardian can give to their child. No matter how much money you have or do not have, or how young or old you are. Children with involved parents attend school more, get higher grades, and have greater self-esteem. The benefits that children accrue from your involvement to their education are priceless.
